About the Club

In 1902, a group of Irishmen formed The Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago to preserve and promote their heritage. They dedicated themselves to continuing the celebration of St. Patrick's Day in Chicago and sharing their Irish Culture and values with the citizens of our beloved city—Chicago.

While promoting friendship and fellowship among the members of the club, the ideals and traditions of their Irish ancestry became a part of the new traditions of Chicago. Today the club continues, through its many programs and events, to uphold and expand on the objectives of its founders.

The leadership of the club has always reflected the membership of the club representing people from all walks of life and in the forefront of their communities giving back to the City of Chicago, making it a great city. The legacy and fellowship of the club has passed down through generations making The Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago the city's oldest and most celebrated Irish organization.

On October 6, 2001 The Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago gathered in the ballroom at Navy Pier for a spectacular celebration of its 100th year.
